Fine fully skeletonized slim automaton repeater antique pocket
watch circa 1820.
White enamel dial ring (small repairs) centered with two angels striking mock bells
in time with the repeater mechanism. Repaired hands.
When activated, this watch chimes the
time using different chime tones to designate the hours and quarter hours.
The dial with a large globe against a blued steel background cut away to reveal
the engraved gilt movement. Hinged dust cover reveals the polished steel
repeat mechanism on the back plate of the cylinder movement which is fully skeletonized.
Slim plain polish case with slightly wavy back and coin milled edge.
A most attractive watch with loud, clear tone.
