Good continental 18K gold skeletonized verge and fusee automaton quarter repeater antique
pocket watch circa 1810.
The dial with multi-color gold angels striking mock bells synchronized with the chiming
of the watch, all against an engraved background. Central white enamel dial with later hands.
The case with unusual pattern engine turned back (ribbing at the center} and scalloped band.
Faded gilt brass dust cover. Gilt movement with pierced and engraved balance cock.
When the pendant is depressed the watch chimes the hours and quarters on two gongs with
loud and clear tones.
