Fine Swiss silver detent deck watch by Soudan, Geneva, circa 1890.
White enamel dial (clean hairlines) with black numerals and blued steel hands.
Heavy, large plain polish silver case.
Fine gilt 3/4 plate 16 jewel spring detent movement.
Deck watches were used to take the time from the ship's chronometer for use up on the deck,
and this is a most attractive example.
